EPP offers exactly the right properties for HVAC applications (heating, ventilation, air conditioning). The low weight makes housing parts made of EPP light and easy to use installation elements. Thus, faster assembly and disassembly can be guaranteed by practical click systems. These also ensure easy and quick access for maintenance work. The efficient heat and noise insulation of EPP makes it a profitable material for many HVAC applications such as pumps, compressors and air conditioning units.
HVAC components are now typically manufactured in medium to high density EPP material grades, replacing older and heavier metal housings we used in the past.  EPP housings are now mainstream becoming an essential part of improving efficient air circulation around our homes, helping to improve energy performance as we strive for the perfect temperature and air quality.

The thermal and acoustical insulation properties of EPP make it perfect for the Heating, Ventilation, Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration (HVAC-R) industry.  The design flexibility of EPP enables key system components such as pumps, boilers, valves, heat-exchangers and control mechanisms to be universally housed in EPP to improve their insulation.
EPP allows integration of fixation items and reduces the numbers of rivets, screws, clips and similar items which will be replaced with snap fits.  This drastically reduces assembly costs and makes the different components easier to install and easier to maintain or repair when in use.These components benefit from the insulating properties of EPP by limiting and reducing heat loss and increasing acoustic protection.  Especially in air conditioning units, pumps, or compressors.  Its low weight does not pressure the elements or force the installations in which they are placed.
